Released on 5th August 1966, The Beatles’ seventh album ‘Revolver‘ turns 58 years old today! The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios continually for 3 months, following a short break that the band welcomed after their final UK tour, which had taken place in December 1965.

“Musically, I felt we were progressing in leaps and bounds. Some of the stuff on this and the Rubber Soul album was brilliant. There was nothing like it.” – Ringo Starr, thebeatles.com

The progressive and experimental sound of the album is well reflected in the cover art, which was designed by German-born bassist and artist Klaus Voormann. Klaus, who had been a close friend of The Beatles since their early Hamburg days, combined line art and collage to create the famous cover design which won the Grammy Award for Best Album Cover, Graphic Arts in 1967.

Now you have the chance to win a rare copy of The Beatles’ Revolver LP signed by the artist Klaus Voormann! This record has been independently valued by Tracks Ltd at around £100. T&Cs apply.
