The Beatles Story donates ‘memories’ to AgeUK Wirral Memory Village

The Beatles Story, Liverpool’s immersive experience, has visited the new AgeUK Wirral Memory Village at Claughton Village, Wirral, to deliver a package of ‘memories’ to support their work.

The Memory Village was officially opened on the 18th May by the Civic Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Jerry Williams, and offers a safe and immersive trip down memory lane for individuals living with dementia.

The Memory Village was created by Anneka Rice and a team of dedicated volunteers during an episode of the rebooted Channel 5 show ‘Challenge Anneka,’ which follows presenter Anneka through different tasks and challenges.

Themed around the 1960s and 1970s, and complete with a record shop, bakery, post office and mini cinema, the village is a safe space for AgeUK’s clients who live with dementia. It offers them the opportunity to relive memories and enjoy some of the normalities of life.

The Beatles Story is dedicated to maintaining the legacy of The Beatles, and is passionate about keeping memories alive. The attraction hopes that its donations of Beatles records, retro decorative items and 60s replica packs bring back fond memories to the residents, and the team looks forward to working with the charity more in the future.

We’re delighted to be supporting this fantastic project, and we hope that our donations help to support local people who are living with dementia. We’re currently in talks with AgeUK Wirral to discuss how we can support them moving forward, and we look forward to helping in any way we can.
