The Beatles Story were honoured to be invited to attend the official unveiling by Olivia Harrison of a blue plaque commemorating the life of George Harrison at his Liverpool childhood home and birthplace 12 Arnold Grove.

In an emotional tribute, Olivia said that George;
Left a footprint on this world, on this country, in this city and on this street.
During his life he travelled East, West and South, but his home was here in the North.

The commemorative plaque is one of the first official Historic England blue plaques to be put on a property outside London.
The official blue plaques are now expanding nationwide and today marks the start of an eight-week public nomination period for the new national blue plaque scheme, run by Historic England on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
