The Beatles Story Museum is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for this year’s VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in the International Tourism Award category.
As winners of this award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards in February, the attraction is now being considered for the national 2025 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
The National Awards recognise, congratulate, and celebrate businesses and individuals who deliver exceptional experiences for visitors, champion innovation in tourism, and inspire business excellence.
Twenty-one local competitions across England submitted over 350 applications for national judging, making this a highly competitive process. The Beatles Story is one of only three in the UK to have been shortlisted in the International Tourism Award category.
Mary Chadwick, General Manager of The Beatles Story, said:
“It is a great honour that, following our win at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, we now go on as finalists for this coveted national award. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our team for working hard to ensure our attraction continues to be an award-winning international destination after 35 years. This is just the beginning – we will continue to push the boundaries of what we can achieve together!”
VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said:
“England’s tourism industry has good reason to celebrate. As the finalists demonstrate, businesses across every region provide outstanding customer service along with high quality experiences while constantly innovating to find new ways to give more to visitors and the communities they serve.
“The applications to this year’s awards and the list of finalists are a testament to the range of first-class products on offer to both domestic and international visitors. I congratulate all the finalists who are already winners, and I wish them the very best of luck.”
Finalists are invited to attend the national awards ceremony, held at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on 4 June, where Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the black tie event.
Tourism is one of England’s largest, most valuable industries, supporting more than 200,000 businesses, employing 2.6 million people and generating about £76 billion in domestic visitor spending.
