Now in its 35th year, The Beatles Story Museum adds the International Tourism Award, secured at last night’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, to its growing collection. The award was sponsored by Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The Beatles Story team are proud to have won this prestigious award, which was presented at last night’s ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral, over worthy shortlisted finalists such as Hotel Anfield and Liverpool Cathedral.

The award-winning attraction is dedicated to delivering a fantastic service to Beatles fans from all around the world and provides audio media guides in 12 different languages. Its international reach is strengthened through partnerships with tourism icons like Cavern City Tours and Liverpool Football Club, as well as a network of Brand Ambassadors spanning 21 countries.

Mary Chadwick, General Manager of The Beatles Story, added: “This award is just the beginning of a very exciting year for The Beatles Story, Albert Dock. We have lots of exciting developments in the works for our visitors, and our 35th year promises to be one of our most exciting yet. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing team for working hard to ensure our attraction continues to be an award-winning international destination 35 years on.”

Following its success at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, The Beatles Story’s winning bid for the International Tourism Award is now to be considered for an award in VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence.

The Beatles Story, which first opened its doors in May 1990, celebrates 35 years of immersing fans in the story of The Beatles this year.
